Larry Carpenter Papers, 1967-1985.

This collection consists of various materials pertaining to Alaskan interests, with an emphasis on the construction of the pipeline. Carpenter's papers include memoranda, reports, newsclippings, photographs, and slides generated from his work as Alyeska's Community Relations representative during the years of construction from 1974-1976. The collection also includes Carpenter's correspondence and legislative files from his tenure in the Alaska Legislature from 1976-1978. Architectural drawings, correspondence, brochures, and reports document Carpenter's other activities in Alaska including his radio show and various business ventures and committees.

Larry Carpenter was born October 27, 1933 in Loudonville, Ohio. He attained a Bachelor degree in Journalism from Kent State University in 1955 and did post-graduate study at Syracuse University in Communications.
